Our Experiences

The face which is visible is that of my wife Sow Padmavathy Somidevi who remained in her meditation under the age old (age unknown) Akshaya Vat in a dense forest a few kilometers away from Naimisharanyam and this area falls in the root of Parikrama. Please make the photo little brighter and you will notice the tree behind my wife.

"Rishyah Sownakaadaya...." Maharishi Suka Brahma and such other great sages lived in Naimisharanyam. Suka Brahma (Suka - Parrot) believbly preferred me as his resting place and the photograph is taken in Naimisharanyam.

We never intended to give any information which could not be verified either physically or otherwise and myself and my wife tried to share our opinions impartially with all of you for the past forty years plus. The blog created in the name of is yet, another trial of ours to post all those papers written by us from time to time so that preferably accurate information is given to all of you. Surely, we have our constraints, we could not produce documentary evidences or sometimes even logical evidences to some of our feelings. Readers who do not agree with some of our feelings are requested to skip such matters. We may also be suggested by the learned readers to modify, rethink of the approach, so that a corrective action could be taken from our side. None of the blogs are meant for enforcing our ideology in any manner whatsoever. It is for a simple sharing of information.

Wonderful Shivalinga and diamond drops ?

See the beauty of the Shiva Linga and the way in which it accepts the Milk in the shape of diamonds. Are you not thrilled to see the wonderful circles created on the Shiva Linga when we were performing Shiva Abhishek ?

The same place and the same linga. Now you can see (keenly observe) two flows - one is milk and the other - water. Water too desired to dance on the head of Lord Shiva is a different fashion ?

Shri Satyanarayana Vratam - Pancha Loha Idol of Bhagavan Naarayan

This is a beautifully carved Pancha Loha Idol of Bhagavan Shri Naarayana whom we worshipped while performing Shri Satyanarayana Vratam on 15th March 2008. It is believed that Naimisharanyam is the birth place for Shri Satyanarayana Katha.

Photograph of Maharishi Dhadhichi Father - Atharva Rishi

This is the place of Maharishi Atharva - father of Maharishi Dhadhichi.

Maharishi Dhadichi Kund - 20 km from Naimisharanyam

The photograph is taken on 16th on our way back to Delhi and the place is called as "Maharishi Dhadhichi Kund" Maharishi Dhadhichi is son on Atharva Rishi and is the father of Maharishi Pippalada. According to the Puranaas, Lord Indra requested Maharishi Dhadhichi to give his vertebral so that an instrument could be made in the name of Vajrayudha to fight the demons who are causing damages to the Human race. Maharishi Dhadhichi Accepted for the proposal in the interest and welfare of human beings whereupon he gave up his life at this place.

This is the great Maharishi Dhadhichi who could his life for the welfare of mankind.

This is the sacred place where Maharishi Dhadhichi sacrificed his backbone.

This photograph is that of his son Maharishi Pippalada

This is the Tapobhoomi of Maharishi Dhadhichi. Myself and my wife had the opportunity of saluting the place and the photograph is taken in that regard.

Shri Balaji Temple - Naimisharanyam

We performed Havan in Shri balaji Temple which was constructed 20 years ago or so by one Mr Ramachary of Vijayawada. Presently the Temple is maintaining 25 cows and 11 students for vedic studies. They have constructed a few rooms for stay by visitors and this particular temple site was offered in the initial stages by His Holiness Shri Shri Shri Naradaananda Saraswathi Swamiji who actually brought the past glory to the place. It is only on account of him people are feeling comfort to visit this place.
At this stage I may have to mention what exactly took place on 15th March. All of us requested the temple authorities to make preparation for food distribution and accordingly the temple people cooperated. In the morning hours we sat in the temple complex just a few yards away from Goddess Mahalakshmi Temple. We completed our Sandhyavandan, Ouposana Homa Vidhi, Brahma Yagnam, Upasana of the Ista Devata etc. Just before the commencement of individual panchayanta Pooja, it appears I lost conciousness for sometime and told my other friends that the three Divine forces - Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva - together in the shape of Dattatreya are visiting the place to bless the team.
I do not remember what exactly I said since I was out of consiousness at that particular few minutes time. A few minutes later, a tall sadhu wearing saffron robes entered with a danda in his hand, followed by another tall sadhu with a different kind of clothes and his body was totally applied with bhasma - the sacred ash, and the third gentleman wearing Shri Vishnu Naama on his forehead. All of them went straight to Shri Srinivasa Rao - one of our friends in the team and asked him whether he would recognize any one of them.
They said that they knew very well Shri Srinivasa Rao and they said that Srinivasa Rao is a follower of Datta Sampradaaya. Shri Srinivasa Rao told them that he never saw them nor knew any of them. Later they sat in front of me and my wife when I was performing Panchayatana Pooja. They were murmoring and talking within themselves. They sat till the completion of the pooja and as usual I offered them a part of the Nivedan of the day. They gladly accepted the same and offered Bhasma in return. All my team mates were given the sacred ash when I requested them to make me wear the Bhasma and accordingly they did it. Just then Shri Sivarama Sastry one of our team members realized the scene and he desired to take a photograph or a videograph or atleast a snap using the mobile. We could not find them in the meantime and to our surprise there is no such great pillar like where they could hide themselves. This incident took place just a few yards away from the Havan Kundam shown in the photograph.

This is the photograph of Vedic students of the temple. They manage themselves with all their curiocity to undergo vedic studies and upkeep the hindu culture, and stay in themple with meagre means of living. We know several such places in India and we know a few hundreds of such interested students. Think for a while - that they did not go for the vedic education, what would have been our fate and the fate of our children. We would not have got a priest for rituals, marriages or ceremonies. This is the fate of the Vedic Studies in India.

We brought clothes needed for them and offered them to wear instantly. Perhaps the amount of happiness which we could see in their faces is an unmatching happiness for whatever is available on the holy earth.

Nothing comes with us, only the results of the good deeds and sacrifices.

Holy Naimisharanyam - Goddess Lalitha Tripura Sundari

There are fifty four sakti peethams as per one script and fifty one as per another script available and there is an element of confusion about the sakti peethams in India. I desire to write about the details of all the Sakti Peethams in due course of time in another blog specially created for such purpose along with some documentary data. In the meantime, I desire to place before you our experiences in the Sakti Peeth - Hridayastana - Goddess Lalitha Tripura Sundari at Holy Naimisharanyam. The Photograph is the original photograph taken on 15th March. Goddess Tripura Sundari is considered as Linga Dharini. People perform poojas to Kanyaas at this place.

Back to our experiences at this spot -- we came out of the temple after worshipping Goddess, and we desired to distribute sweets to a few small girls in the area. We purchased some sweets for the purpose and started distributing them and suddenly one person with usual dress tapped me from behind and I handed over the remaining quantity of sweets to him. Yet, he did not move and I got a signal that he was quite hungry. I asked him to follow me to a near by hotel so that sufficient food could be given to him. I asked the Hotel person to serve the gentleman fresh food and we sat there for some time. The gentleman took only little quantity of food and when I asked him to collect whatever is needed by him for that day and the next day, he refused to take further and he conveyed a message that he is totally satisfied with the food he took. He even refused to accept any cash and again the same experience, we desired to have a photograph of him and rushed to the taxi to collect our cameras, we could not find him, whether someone believes it or not. We are in a group and it is our COLLECTIVE experience and therefore it has to be believed.

Panch Vati

What is Pancha Vati - Vata relates to a great tree and when five such trees are together it is called as Pancha Vati. Most of you might have seen Akshaya Vati in Prayag etc places which means great tree of infinite age.

This Pancha Vati - five great trees together is seen in the Holy Naimisharanyam near Hanuman Gadde. I tried to assess the age of the tree basing on the size of its trunk, water resources, soil strength etc botonically, but I could not do so due to certain techinical difficulties. Any way we can see such naturally grown five great trees together in the name of PANCHA VATI in the Holy Land of Naimisharanyam.

Holy Naimisharanyam - What is this ?

Vyasa Gadde - 15th March 2008 - Naimisharanyam - We sat at the Holy Place for some time and (I can not describe what it is) some Bhava ( feeling) with a deep sense of attachment made my eyes filled up with tears. No give - no take; nothing related to spiritual senses; nothing to do with caste or religion; some unknown attachment and some feeling beyond expression with all eagerness to take his blessings personally (whether possible ?) - some feeling same to that of the final departure of parents way back 20 years plus and some thing like that. Do not mistake me if I fail to express as I am searching for words and I am failing to get the feelings translated onto this page.

Suddenly some voice and we turned back and we found a tall personality wearing saffron clothes with a danda in his hand standing in front of the Vyasa Gadde. He did not lift his head up and suddenly we desired to have a photograph of him. Fortunately my camera was with me and I took a photograph. My other friends tried to take a photograph and by the time they took their camera from bags, we could see the gentleman there, nor in the nearby places.

As most of us consider Bhagavan Krishna Dwaipaayan Veda Vyas as their grand father, I too consider him as my Guru, Great Grand Father, Guide etc. I had developed some kind of unknown attachment with his places of stay. This was the situation right from my childhood days and I wished to spend much time in those places of his visit and he FACTUALLY GRANTED ME SUCH OPPORTUNITIES SO FAR IN MY LIFE. This is the place where Bhagavan Veda Vyas sat under a Aswatha Vriksha and divided the Vedas into four parts. This is considered as the place where he wrote 18 puranaas. Considering some prime factors , people of the Holy area constructed a triangular seat so that no one would dare to sit on the seat where Bhagavan Veda Vyas sat centuries ago.
This message may please be treated as a very very important message as we had some unusual experiences during our visit to this Holy place this time. "Bhagavan Maanusha Roopena.." - it is trusted that there are seven Chiranjeevis on this holy earth and one among them is Bhagavan Veda Vyas. He is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu -"Vyaasaaya Vishnu Roopaaya...". He has granted darshan to many of his grand children carrying on love and affection. It is a part of my daily ritual to worship him and this continued for several years. Interestingly - being a Upasik of Sri Vidya - he happened to be one of my Gurus in the line of Masters. Therefore all offerings goes to him on day to day basis. This information is being placed before you all to share my joy of attachment with such a Holy Master.
Before entering the Holy Land I told all my associates who followed me that Phalguna Sukla Navami is one such a Holy day on the Land when great sages make a parikrama to the Land or visit the Holy Naimisharanyam. The divine sages, Lords darshan shall become possible basing on our Samskaara and our conception - "Yad Bhavam...". On quite a number of occasions I had taken the blessings of great sages in different parts of the country particularly at places like Naimisharanyam. That is the basic reason why we perform Annadaana, Vastra Daana etc at this place.
Back to the Holy Darshan of Bhagavan - it was around 2.00 p.m on 16th March 2008 when we were returning back to Delhi from Naimisharanyam. Myself and My wife Sow Padmavathy desired to have darshan of Chakra Teertham once before we leave the Holy Land. All of us reached Chakra Teertham and suddenly my wife found a great sage, very tall, with all divine features, brightness in the eyes etc with a Danda making a parikrama to the Holy Chakra Teertham. She showed him to us and asked all of us to wait till the sage reaches the place where we stood on his way of parikrama.
It took more than forty minutes for him and my friends were feeling uneasy as they have to travel a long distance. Bhagavan stood in front of us and myself along with all others conveyed our respects to him. I offered him some money and he refused to accept. Some unusual force driven me to press him and continuously I pressed him to accept and smilingly he offered his part of cloth (being in a saffron dress he had a long upper on his body) to tie the amount, and I touched his cloth and tied the money to the cloth. He smiled and in the mean time one of our friends by name Shri Parimi Sastry came to sensus and collected his camera to take a photograph. He ran to the Taxi and returned in less than 2 minutes, and to our surprise we could not find him there.
We returned to Hyderabad on 19th and on 20th around 12.42 p.m we had his darshan in our home again with the same smiling face and thus declared himself as the beloved grand father of my choice. How do I create a documentary evidence for all this? To believe it or not to is left to individuals choice and this is how Great Grand Father showed his affection.

Holy Sage Suta Mahaa Muni

"Ekadha Naimisharanye Rushayah Sownakaadaya...." this sloka is the first sloka while commencing Shri Satyanarayana Vrat. It is believed that the Holy Sage Suta Mahaa Muni brought lot of literature from divine sources for the use by public of those days and future generations. The Holy Sage Suta Mahaa Muni stayed here for educating his disciples for the benefit of mankind. It is called Suta Gadde.

Churning Stone used by Goddess Sita Mahalakshmi

This Stone looks differently, it is believed that Goddess Sita Mahalakshmi - wife of Lord Rama stayed at this place and she used to churn the curds with the stone to take out butter.

Shri Deva Deveswar Maharaj

The Photograph looks differently ? Yes, it is surely a different kind of picture for those who believe in the acts of Lord. This is a Shiva Linga in tricolors naturally formed and is called as a "Swayambhu" - means generated on its own. The Name of the Lord is Shri Deva Deveswarji. Which means that it is the Lord of all Lords. This area is situated around 10 kilo0meters away from Naimisharanyam and I suggest you to visit this place only in DAY TIME since it is not a protected area for safe travel. Any one who visits the Holy Naimisharanyam should invariably visit this Holy Shrine to make the Pilgrimage complete. Photograph is taken on 15th March 2008

The one which you are seeing is around 10-12 kilometers away from Holy Naimisharanyam and is called as RUDRAVARTAM. It is a well like in River Gomati which you can see in the picture. It is believed that Lord Shiva stays in the Patal Lok in the well. Interesting it is surely, when any one pours milk in the well connected to the river flow, naturally the milk gets diluted in the flow. But when some one offers the milk saying "Sivarpanam" the milk goes like a horizontal line into the well. Similarly, it is certain that the Bilwa leaves float in water, but when they are offered to Lord Shiva saying "Sivarpanam", the leaves goes down into the well. Further more, if some one offeres some fruits saying "Sivarpanam" the same thing goes down into the well, but when some one prays for a prasad, one fruit will come from the bottom and float indicating as a 'SHIVA PRASAD". This photograph is taken on 15th March along with a small video capture.

About the Holy Naimisharanyam

When we start Sri Satyanarayana Vratam - we start the Vratam uttering the name of Holy Naimisharanyam. Naimisharanyam is one of the forests of India and as per Mahasankalpa it is one amongst the ten great forests of Ancient India. Out of all the forests, Naimisharanyam is considered most Holy as it is on the banks of the first ever river of India - River Gomati. Secondly all great sages of India are directly or otherwise related to this Holy forest. Many of them were successful in their Tapas - meditation at this Holy Place. They attained Moksha - total salvation at this place as per the historical evidences. It is considered as one of the 51 sakti peethams as this place is considered to be the Heart Place of Goddess. Bhagavan Veda Vyas divided the Vedas into Four Parts and entrusted the work of spreading the vedic knowledge to four of his disciples. The Holy 18 Puranaas are considered to have been written at this place by Bhagavan Krishna Dwaipaayan Veda Vyas.
This Holy place is situated in Sitapur District of Utter Pradesh. It is around 400 kilometers from Delhi on Delhi - Lucknow highway upto Sahajahanpur. It will be conveninet to reach this place through Sitapur though it is around 50 kilometers in addition to 400. It is connected by Railways upto the station named as Naimisharanyam. One passenger train runs between Lucknow and Naimisharanyam perhaps once in a day. More details about the lodging etc are described in individual letters in this blog.
I was initially invited to this Holy Place by His Holiness Shri Shri Shri Vivekananda Saraswathi - desciple of His Holiness Shri Shri Shri Naradaananda Saraswathi Swamiji. His Holiness Shri Shri Shri Naradaananda Swamiji brought this Holy Forest and forgotten subject of the yester years into limelight by entering into the forest amidst all odds some where 50 years ago. He dedicated his entire life to upbring his Ashram and the activities of His Holiness in 1960s are still remembered by many people of the place. A few thousands of acres were acquired by his ashram and actual forest atmosphere is only seen in this ashram today. His disciple His Holiness Shri Shri Shri Vivekananda Saraswathi Swamiji strived hard to create suitable civilized atmosphere. He was primarily responsible for construction of few sheds in his ashram. His Holiness met with an accident and the Ashram remained under the control of His Holiness Shri Shri Shri Sarwadaananda Swamiji. His disciple His Holiness Shri Shri Shri Devendrananda Saraswathi Swamiji attended the Mega Historical Event Shri Aswamedhayaagam which was performed by us from 11th December 2005 to 18th December 2005 at Hyderabad. The Ashram is now under the control of His Holiness Shri Shri Shri Upendrananda Saraswathi Swamiji whom we met on 15th March 2008 during our three day visit to this place.
Every year Phalguna Sukla (bright nineth day) Navami is considered as utmost Holy here as thousands of sages gather here. It is believed that all sacred places of India stay in Naimisharanyam on this Holy day. This year the Holy day was 16th March 2008.
